haix

If God could give me only 1 wish, I would wish for your good health.
If God could give me 100 wishes, I would have used the 100 wishes to wish for your good health.

Bleh.

What a dreary entry on Yen Hong's bday. Aranda is cool. Even though the catering sux. But then again, that's what the difference $500 makes - apartment chalet.

Happy 21st birthday gal!

extract from min's blog

:: Extracted from Min's blog ::

"Science's victory.. has cost us every one of us. And it has cost us deeply.

Silence.

Science may have alleviated the miseries of disease and drudgery and provided an array of gadgetry for our entertainment and convenience, but it has left us in a world of without wonder. Our sunsets have been reduced to wavelengths and frequencies. The complexities of the universe have been shredded into mathematical equations. Even our self-worth as human beings has been destroyed. Science proclaims that Planet Earth and its inhabitants are a meaningless speck in the grand scheme. A cosmic accident.

Pause.

Even the technology that promises to unite us, divides us. Each of us, is now electronically connected to the globe, and yet we feel alone. We are bombarded with violence, division, fracture, and betrayal. Skepticism has become a virtue. Cynicism and demand for proof has become enlightened thought. Is it any wonder that humans now feel more depressed and defeated than they have at any point in human history? Does science holds anything sacred? Science looks for answers by probing our unborn fetuses. Science even presumes to rearrange our own DNA. It shatters God's world into smaller and smaller pieces in quest of meaning... and all it finds is more questions. "

extracts from Angels & Demons by Dan Brown... this is part of a speech given by the Carmenlengo (check dictionary or do your own research on who is this. lazy to explain. =p ) in the effort to speak to the public about how he or the Vatican church, the catholics.. admit defeat to Science. There are many more to this speech.. particularly.. this part is really thought provoking... try reading.. reading is a form of happiness too... or perhaps.. ironically.. leaving you more pessimistic..? you decide.

Hmm... interesting... enlightening... i kinda like such philosophical stuffs. Haha... perhaps will go buy the book AFTER my exams. Me not much of a bookworm. =)

Fun wkend!

Time ALWAYS flies when u're enjoying urself. Dang.

Had a really great weekend despite my lack of sleep. Haha.. true to the words, my horoscope for this wk was kinda true. Not that I totally dig such stuffs, but no harm taking it as reference right? Well, anw it said smth like : If i dun choose wisely the activities i attened this wk, i'd be more burnt out than having fun. LOLZ.. which made me think.. luckily i didn't go for ChinaBlack night! ^^

++++

Friday. Work was slack. Easy 4.5 x 2 hrs earned. YAY~! Afterwhich dear and i headed to ECP for VonLin's bday bash. Haha.. the crew @ ECP CoffeeBean were a bunch of funny pple. After collecting the Tiramisu cake, called Poh Seng to divert Von Lin so we could sneak the cake into the fridge. Hee~

BBQ was not bad. But my mouth damn itchy.. keep on munching on stuffs even tho i not hungry le. ^^;; Highlight was cake cutting! In which 10 "fake" candles were mixed into the "real" ones. Gave Von Lin a pleasant surprise when she returned to the chalet to find everyone in the dark and singing her a bday song.

Before long, dear had to go off cos he still has a last paper the nx day! But really appreciate that he came to accompany me. ^^ Was quite tired actually. Apparantly not many staying overnight. Which is gd cos no need to squeeze! Ard 1am+, they decided to go cycling so i stayed behind to sleep. CMI le.

Woke early the nx day to attened 9am BORA lecture. Thnx to Poh Seng, he drove both of us to sch. Wee~ He rox! ^^

++++

Went home aft lecture to sleep. But couldn't really sleep. Guess it was the excitement building from Round #2 of chalet later on in the day! ^^

Li's chalet was damn cooL! It's @ Aloha Loyang and it's a damn big apartment facing the pool!! *whistle* Met up with lotsa old frens of ours... belle, zijie, boonwee, lianli, yenhong. The kids really provided "some sort of entertainment" which made us all end up in fits of laughters. Wahaha... And there was this nephew of hers which looked like JR WILSON!!! O_o

Li's relatives and parents were sooo nice as to leave the whole bungalow juz for us for the night! Wow... cool parents! So the 9 of us staying over for the night played some card game called "99" which Yaya taught us. And we all buang Li so she will tio the BIG forfeit >> thrown into the pool! In the end, Jan and Li were the ultimate "losers" (who lost 3 n 4 times each resp. BWAHAHA... the small forfeits made them so bloated up with water cos they keep losing! Oh yeah.. cannot go toilet wor!) But apparantly Li was quite happy with the idea of being thrown into the pool. *sweats*

Afterwhich, we cleared up and went back to our rooms. Juz nice.. there were 4 rooms in which it was divided into (upstairs) Jan+Wilson, Rui+Danny. (Downstairs) Yaya, Li and Serene, me+dear. There was a bathroom attached to each room. Shiok right!!

I guess it was pretty early lights out for the upstairs peeps cos after bathing, i popped by Li's room and we all huddled tog to watch some SMAP's variety show. Ser was -_-zZZ. Slept at 4.30am. #_#

++++

Well, it was a fun-filled night cos all our bfs managed to mingle and mixed with our frens real well. ^^ But the main thing is of cos...
Li has enjoyed herself!!

Bye bye black... Welcome dyed hair once again.

Haha.. went Chapter 2 to do dye + highlight with Von Lin. That mthfkr of a hair stylist who cut my hair.................... made total shit outta my fringe. FARK. Nvm. At least the other stylist who dyed my hair did a gd job.

Hmm.. look abit too red for my preference. Wanted smth more subtle and dark. Oh well. Till nx time then. ^^

too fast, too furious!

Woo-Hoo! Another wk has flown past.

Have u been happy or sad?

This is juz the beginning of an exciting week ahead!!

Firstly, Grace (my mama from sec sch!) came back to Singapore last Sunday for a visit. It has been 7 loong months since she migrated there. And Thursday we (jan, li and i) ALL finally met up for dinner at tm. Went to eat S-11 since Grace hadn't eaten local fare for ages! Lolz~

Lo and behold.. and who are we to see? Alister from our (jan, li and i) jc days. HAHA. He hasn't changed one bit. =X Well, it was nice to catch up on the ns pple after soooo long lah.

Friday - Work. Not bad. ($___$) And bus 10 has resumed it's original route! Yay~~

Saturday - Me and lance managed to find our way to CCK Northvale!! *tian cai* Attended Simin's 21st bday bash. It was so cool to meet up again! =) It was the first time i've seen such a HUUGGGE cake. Whoah.

Later went Chinatown to "chou re nao". Apparantly we missed the firecraker. (Awww..) But it's ok. Walked around to bask in the CNY atmosphere. Quite nice actually. The weather was very cooling despite the crowd. Cos usually crowds + humidity = pissed off me. So today's equation was juz right. Hehe. Went "mei shi jie" to eat popiah, wanton soup and ice kachang. Nice! ^^

Nx wk - 2 diff chalets on 2 consecutive days. And 1 more marina bay celebration nx nx wk. (you know who u are!!) *winkz* Alumni... assignments.. Chinablack NUS bash?

Who wanna date me better book in advance. =D

Who would have guessed? Lance went to malaysia last weekend to marry Fang!! Stingy guy... nv invite me. -humpf- (MUaHahahahHaha!!!!!)

sway-est mon ever

This sux.

Purposely didn't bring an umbrella out cos i refused to believe that it would rain on my way home.

But it did. Like a punishment for my complacency. Alright. I take it in my stride - I walked home in the rain.

Wore the wrong sandals. I was losing my footing... not on the road but in the sandals itself. So i couldn't walk any faster than a stroll. WTH.

Nvm. Halfway home, i realised i had forgotten to bring my keys out. Great. It's ok, there's a spare at my grandpa's hse that is juz a road away from mine.

To make things worse than it already is, the spare is gone!! My mom had made herself the new owner to my last glimmering hope. Thnx alot mom.

Nobody is going home anytime soon. How nice. Being physically and emotionally drenched, i juz can't wait to get home! T^T Haiz... sitting around wouldn't make things better. So i've decided to get my keys from my dad. And ta-daa! I'm now typing my rantings and sipping Hershey's hot choco.

-- heaven --

Always look on the bright side right? At least my grandpa lives near me; At least my dad's office is within walking distance; At least my hp didn't die on me.. at least i don't have to wander outside my house in the rain.. at least..

Do i feel better now?

Yes. Not because of how worse off i can already be. But because i'm at least dry and warm and get to drink hot choco. I'M AT HOME!! I can't concoct "lies" to convince myself like some freakin idiotic 3 yr old.

Bahz~ I sound likea miserable fool wallowing in self-pity. Whatever. PMS? Maybe.

7 discs + 1 more box of Qian Jin Bai Fen Bai. (Huo Jian Hua is so shuaii~!)

p.s i can't believe how my dad actually suggested i wait below his office and he throw the key outta the window for me to catch. I was like.... WHAT THE.....

boring sunday

Dare mo Shiranai (Nobody Knows) is an EXCELLENT film!!

Everyone should go cineleisure to catch this award winning film... starring Yuya Yagira (a 12-yr old non professional) who beat Tony Leung to win BEST ACTOR for Cannes Film Festival.

The movie ended at 12.10am and we didn't know there isn't any night rider home on thursdays. (I dun take night riders!!) So we're basically waiting (happily) at the bus stop... oblivious to the cabs that were waiting (for us?!) beside the bus stop.

Damn freakin malu can!!! Bahhh........ quickly snuck away when Li went to re-read the sign. -___-

Last night was horrid. Without Fang n Grace around, everything seemed kinda chaotic. Bo bian.. Fang getting married le!!! *\(^-^)/*

There's a particular trainee from Dubai who was driving me n Win nuts. *middle finger*

p.s I've been informed of more upcoming 21st bday bashes. I NEED MONEY!!Oopss.. seemed like i've been a money-craving lunatic for the past few days. =p

Freakin com

Cancelled schedule and went for alumni today. Attendence was poor. But we'd be playing a piece during the main band's concert somewhere in june. ^-^

Freakin com lah.. think windows crashed corrupted. It was unable to load when i start the com. The screen juz remained blank. Bleh~ Btw, if u're wondering, i'm running on the old C drive. Crap~

Now i can't access my student portal. Cos the favourites is in the old C drive. And i can't search the page. Or rather, it wouldn't load up. WTH... how to check timetable and impt news?! (like the procedures and deadline for reivision workshops?! -kan chiong spider- )

I foresee a very loooong year ahead.

Juz jan alone, there's already like 5 6 birthdays lined up. (which means gotta shop for presents ) Alumni pracs, and make-up lectures. And of cos, deadline to hand in money for exams & revision workshops... not to mention unfinished assignments...

I need time and money!!! I think the burning (of the hole in pocket) will be continued from xmas till at least cny. -deep sighz-

8min more to Hellsing.

Welcome to 2005!

Welcome to 2005!!

Hee.. though it's a laaate entry, but better than never right? *winkz* Well, after reading many pple's blog. Everyone seemed to have lotsa things to say about 2004. Like some sort of mini re-cap of the happenings of the monkey year.

Well, here's mine. *ah-hem*

2004 has been a blast! Well, at least to me. Yeah yeah... there's the sufferings from diseases and disasters.. yada yada. But that's part and parcel of life. At least it managed to decrease the overpopulation problem. Morbidly sick as it may sound, but it's true eh? Bah.. not in the mood to sprout philosophical stuffs (like what others are doing.) So i'll juz keep mine simple and sweet. =)

And i realise i should make some new year resolutions while i'm at it. Speaking about new year resolutions, how many pple actually remembers and keep it?? I shall investigate did i keep mine...

Hah~ Surprise surprise!! i actually DID made some resolutions for 2004, which totally slipped my mind until i took out my diary to read.
  1. Study hard. Do well for exam. [ erm.. didn't really study HARD but i did pretty ok for my exams. So there! ^^ ]
  2. Sleep early [ Nope. My bio clock is already beyond repairs. Sleeping early is virtually impossible. ]
  3. Tidy room. Or rather, keep room tidy. [ I did tidy up my room every once in awhile. But i'm totally clueless how it always ends up messy. Hmm.. ]
  4. Save more. Spend less. [ Err... my savings did go up. So does that count?? ]
  5. Have a better temper. [ Somehow i feel, it did improve... even if it means only a wee bit =p ]

For 2005:

  1. Do well for exam. AIM FOR 1ST CLASS HONOURS!! [ Hahaa.. typical but essential ]
  2. Don't be such a lazy bum!!
  3. Be more attentive to the happenings around me. [ sometimes i'm juz so nua, i think i'm living in my own world. Bah~ ]
  4. Be a better human - to my parents, my brother, my friends and my dear! I wan to bring pple joy!! [ Bah.. sounds so cheesy. LOLZ ]
  5. Know Singapore roads better. Aka don't be a "lu chi".

That's all folks! Haha.. pointless to make too many resolutions also lah.
