Surprise visit from dear!

2 unfortunate events were to happen first thing in the morning.
1) I left my ezlink in another bag n left home without it. *sigh*
2) My watch strap broke.

For the 2nd time!! Damn shit. It's a freaking $30 for each strap replacement. It's a sign. I'm gonna get myself a new watch! Yippee~

And who is to come surprise me for lunch?

My knight in shining armour! Whahaa..
Dear came down all the way juz to meet up for a measely 1hr. And while i went to the toilet at Mac, he slipped a new ezlink card into my wallet so i didn't have to buy the standard ticket. Awww...

I love it when he goes cut his hair. Looks like a small boy cos it's so short! Haha.. *ruffles ruffles*

That 1hr flew by so swiftly. *sigh* Back to work again.
But work was alright. Time passed faster with the Yahoo! conference going on discreetly. Or rather, NOT so discreetly. What with Mariko's vigourous typing. Behind all the facade, we couldn't help but burst out laughing in the end. In unison. Leaving the rest in a state of confusion. LOL.
Nevermind.

I swear we didn't ALL wear black on purpose!! Somehow, friends always end up thinking alike/wearing alike/behaving alike. I wonder why??

I'm a survivor

Was back at TR yesterday.

Business was horribly good. Or perhaps, we're horribly understaffed.
The kitchen was in a frenzy. The servers were in a frenzy. The guests were left in a frenzy. The whole restaurant was practically turned upside-down.
Gosh.
I didn't know how we survived. But boy was i glad when it was time to punch out at 6pm. =)

Oh not to mention. The shelf at the side station gave way. -__-;;
Yup. All the condiments toppled down. Now the whole cupboard reeks of vinegar & is moisturised with olive oil.
Over the sugars & Equal. Over the toothpicks. Over the bibs. Over the condiment bottles. Yucks.
Luckily there were no broken glasses. But poor Sze Yong. I think he was already feeling damn low to have clean up the mess on top of having to do Side Station. Tsk tsk.

Heqing, Ah Seng & Ah Chuan came to celebrate their friend's bday.
They were surprised that i was still slogging my days away at TR. Haha.
Sigh. Somehow it made me miss those days. Where the OLD staff ruled.
Of cos the new staffs are great. But i feel so old ard them. Bah.

Travel fair ended. COMEX will be ruling over the wkend.
And i'd be working 2-10.30pm on sat. Grace says there's "no more shifts ending 10pm" already. O_o"
9-1pm will be at NETS. Hope i survive Sat.

Award for worse show of the year

You squirm abt in your seat barely 15min aft warming it.

You yawn incessantly & sigh continunously.

You wonder what you're doing here.

Your mind wanders off into thinking of what to eat later, what to do later, where to go later... anything but focusing on the show.

Your eyelids grow heavy & vision becomes fuzzy.

The dialogues become gibberish to your ears.

If you have the above symptoms, chances are you're 99.99% to have caught the WORSE show of the year.

And the award goes to...

Mob Sister.

What a complete waste of $7. Pui. Not even worth giving $0.20 to go toilet.

'Nuff said.

Flutes was great!

Flutes At The Fort serves one of the finest dining around!! Though the price was comparable to the gradient of the slope leading to the restaurant (it almost matched having dinner buffet @ Fullerton), it was certainly worth every single penny.

From yummilicious pan-fried baby lobster...

To ooh-melts-in-your-mouth-not-your-hand steak... Not to mention the fresh Australian scallops for starters was simply DA BOMB!

Ok. Would have gladly stayed for desert. But I guess we had to leave. Know why? Some dumb moronic nincompoop of a coconut shell who SUPPOSEDLY took down my reservation wrote it on some leaf & fed it to the donkeys. (Do donkeys feed on leaves??) Thing is. We reached without a seat for dinner. WTH. I was so freakin pissed. But the restaurant manager granted us a table till 8.30pm nonetheless. Yay!

There were alot of ang mohs streaming in, mostly dressed till the Nines. Machiam going to have their usual dinner. Whoah. Pretty expensive for a daily meal huh?

Anw, critical me wrote a feedback to them. And here was their prompt reply. =)

Ooh yes... archery is FUN!!

[Dear said i looked like an elfen princess. ^^]

It was a pretty fun day! And the crew @ Flutes would probably be seeing more of me in the future. ^^ Excellent service, fantastic ambience & great food. 4.5 out of 5 munchkins. (It would have been perfect if the varandah was overlooking some pond or smth!)
