If You Keep Doing The Same Things You Did Yesterday, You'd Be Where You Are Today

Thursday.

The bird was finally let out of its cage.

Made my first call. It was a good start. My success planner looks packed for next wk. *satisfied* Hee... quite happy about it.

And alot of credit goes to Jan. Thanks so much gal! Your support really motivated me lots. =)

Debuted last night! Heard some much ravings about it that my wkdays 10-11pm slots are strictly booked for Sam Soon! Lol. Much to the disapproval from ML. That ger ah! Tsk tsk.

4* for the first episode. And 1* goes to the guy being such an eye candy! (A_A) What's more entertaining than seeing a (rich) shuai ge in a suit squatting in a restaurant kitchen licking his fingers (and bewildered face) clean from a mango mousse cake that was smashed squarely in his face by a blardy pissed off chilli padi cos the cake was damn delicious?!

Shinhwa's 8th album was (as usual) fantastic. Especially loved the track Once In A Lifetime. *swoon* Nvm. I'm getting myself hyped up for their upcoming concert! (^_^) Album not distributed in S'pore. But idols are coming. WTH lor!!

Sigh. No dinner tonight. Some kinda mis-communication. Nvm. Feeling the pounds pile anw. Hahs. Looking forward to tomorrow though. Gonna be an exciting day!! =)

FEAR = False Expressions Appearing Real

It's my 3rd wk on job.

GIP is gradually coming to an end. In other words, I'm "ready".

That's what I thought so too. But last friday set me back to reality - I lacked practice. It was indeed an emotional rollercoaster for both of us. Tears were already welling up in my eyes when I was about to leave. And when Eric appeared, I don't know why but I couldn't hold it back any longer.

I don't blame them. It was myself that I was unsatisfied with. Eric is right, this means something. It meant that at least we have already formed expectations of ourselves. But the more encouraging he was, the worst I felt. Why did he have to appear...

Anyway reflections aside, today definitely marked a great start of a brand new week ahead. And I'm really grateful to Ryan who actually spent his entire afternoon coaching us. =)

"... Really so glad u'r w me. :-D"

9th Aug 2006

Though I didn't manage to catch the fireworks or join in the celebration, I had my own celebration to be happy about...

I finally got my dream phone! =D

N6280

And my first attempt at making swiss rolls got thumbs up from everyone! =D

With the exception of my Dad who actually said casually as he took a bite, "Hmm... not as smooth as Polar's leh."

DIAO!

If my 1st attempt can already kick Polar's infamous sugar rolled ass, I tell ya, first I'm probably gonna set up an alter to worship what a 天才 I am before going into the baking industry!

But it may take a looooong time before I pull off another swiss roll attempt. The steps are easy. But it's difficult to make. And rolling that thing is... omg. Not as easy as you imagined! New found respect to the Swiss Rolls of all Nations. *Salute*

It's all about love

Although no Kenny Roger's mac cheese,

But a cup of CoffeeBean honeydew ice blended,

A moment at the breakwaters,

A midnight escapade to ECP.

All it needs is a call from you, I'm glad to have made you felt better.

=)

I'M GOING TO SHINHWA CONCERT!!!!!!!!

Singaporeans although kiasi, are actually quite garang

I just witnessed parallel parking done on a highway road shoulder.

And cars queueing up along the road shoulders as if queueing for Hello Kittys.

The TPs (traffic police) walked around as if they had stamps stuck on their eyes.

To top it off, there were tons of people sitting/lounging/standing along the highway railings machiam waiting for Singapore Idols.

And for that brief 15min, ECP was at a complete standstill. The road was bare.

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON???

Everyone was there to witness the magnificent fireworks display infront of Fullerton. Gosh. It was one of the most breathtaking evenings I've ever spent with my family & D.

HAPPY 41st BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!

Shopping is great...

when you don't have a budget.

Seriously. It's more enjoyable when you just heck your credit card limits or the budget constraint.

Worry about squeezing your savings account dry later. At least you're getting what you like.

1) Bag - $31.90 (20%!)
2) Americaya covered-toe heels - $46.90
3) The Station pin striped pencil skirt in brown - $44 (20%!)
4) Estique blouse in pearl - $39.20 (20%!)
5) LVER sleeveless blouse - $44.10 (10%!)

10) G2000 Blazer + pants x2 - $132.50 (A gift from D!)

You know the durian chee cheong fun (CCF) along Killney Road that I've been wanting to try? It should be named as Singapore's best dessert or something. It's really nice! They also offer lotsa other varieties of CCF - Strawberry CCF, yam CCF, scallops CCF... whatever weird concoction you can think of.

Somehow, it kinda puts you off at the mere thought of those food wrapped in rice flour. But I shall brave myself to try them out!

Of course, not forgetting that extra order of XO Durian CCF. Yumz!

Learning makes me...

High.

Yeah. It's probably the first time I'm saying this in my entire 22 years of existence on planet Earth.

Nope. Mac's lemon lime juice doesn't make one drunk. But it sure does make me feel awfully bloated. Haha.

It's only the 4th day. But with each day that passed, I feel even more certain that I really want this job. The feeling is especially stronger after today's session with Gab.

Wow. Suddenly, it hit me. I've never felt so happy about waking up to work! It had always used to be - Wake up. Sian, cannot sleep longer. Do same old monotonous work. Even more sian. But this is so different! I'm enthusiastic about the new things I'll get to learn the next day.

Even though it may be another month before I can officially start my career, I can already feel the impact it has made to my life - I'm starting to feel happier. =) My colleagues are really nice peeps, I've got a great boss, and I clicked really well with my batch trainee. Most importantly, we share the same enthusiasm.

It's kinda scary after reading what I wrote. Perhaps, Mac's lemon lime juice really DOES make me drunk.

Met up with my Uni gang after work. As broke undergrads, we settled for Yoshinoya. Close friends would know that I swear off Yoshinoya. But I made a discovery today! It's Ebi Rice is actually quite nice. (the rest is inedible to me)

It's really great to catch up with old friends. And in future, I can get to see my friends everyday and get paid for it. There, how nice is that?

Day 2

I gotta really REALLY buy working clothes over the wkend. I'm forever cracking my brains on what to wear the next day. Bah. Happy with the shoes & bag I bought though. After thinking about it so long.

Turns out that my mentor is more than just a senior to me. We actually "know" each other way back since JC! We even went to Europe together... as rival bands. Heh. Kinda flattered that such a chio bu actually found me familiar when I was such a toot back in J1. Speak about fate!

Today wasn't as draining as yesterday. Nonetheless, I'm still a sponge soaking up all the knowledge I can. Attended SAM with Shin, Pam & Ryan in the morning. Enjoyed listening and learning from their experience. Soon, I'd be having my own stories to tell.

Aiming for Junior Flyers Club - $12,000 in 5mths. My free trip to Taiwan!! Ding Tai Fung... *drools*

Found out where the durian chee cheong fun Rui told me about!! It's actually nearer to Somerset than Dhoby Ghaut. Shall go try it next time with D. =)

Tml halfday. Can sleep late!
